'To Camera' charts an attempt to gain access to one of the most ubiquitous locations used on British Television News, 10 Downing Street. Downing Street is the ultimate 'gated community', where even government ministers are subject to security checks upon entering and leaving the street. In 'To Camera' the artist's voice over reads a series of letters requesting permission to film on Downing Street for an art work. As the explanations, questions and eventual pleas for access are spoken we witness the artist silently filming herself outside three other iconic buildings in London, New Scotland Yard, The Royal Courts of Justice and The Houses of Parliament.
